Invitations and Hair Accessories

This is a small update of the wedding preparations. :)  So far I made the invitations and sent them to be printed....
Then I made the hair accessories. Just turned some lace trims (left from the dress making), hair pins and flowers...

Hopefully I'll manage to make nice loose curls pinned with the little flowers.

And just in case if my hair has a bad mood on the wedding day, I have a plan B:

Elegant white headband with a big flower from "Poundland". I've just attached some net around, big enough to cover my hair if I end up with a mess. :)
I hope you liked it. The DIY tutorial for the dress is coming very soon.

Refashioning Tank Top

Hey hey hey! I've got another interesting refashioning for you.
I picked up this old tank top to give it a new life. :) Cut out a heart from lace fabric and pin it down on the back of top.

And then just stitch around the edges and cut the fabric from the top so only the lace will show.
Ta daah!

And a closer look. :) This is the back, but I think it will look good in front too.

I hope you liked it! See you soon!

Refashioning Old Boots

Hey there! How's your day so far? :) Well mine is quite rainy and I'm stuck at home. And of course boredom leads to creativity... I've decided to refashion some old boots.

I had all these for a while, they are actually UV glowing so I thought it would be nice to use them on the boots.
And this is the result. Simple, but effective change. :)

I didn't paint the soles, I didn't want it to be too much. :) I hope you liked it! See you soon!

DIY: 2 in 1 Dress And Skirt

I've got an easy DIY tutorial for you today. It's about how to make a pretty summer dress and a skirt. All you need is:
2 pieces of white lycra for the body and  to cut a circle piece from chiffon fabric. If you have some of the chiffon fabric left keep it for now - we're gonna use it for the decoration. Sew the both lycra pieces along the side.
Then attach the chiffon circle piece and stitch again. I left the edges raw and distress them with a needle.
The leftovers from the chiffon cut into small circles.
Gather them and stitch onto the top part of the dress.
And Voila! You can wear it as a pretty summer dress.

Or a skirt.

I hope you've enjoyed it! See you soon!

DIY: Miu Miu Inspired Sandals

Hello again! I've prepared an easy DIY tutorial for you. You all have probably seen the famous Miu Miu sequin socks. Well I've decided to try something a little bit different, but in the same theme.
I thought of embellishing an old pair of sandals.

All you need is lace trims, sequins and needle and tread.
I stitched the lace trim and and some of the sequins first.
And then the rest.. And that's it! Very very easy!

So... what do you think?! Shall I stitch more sequins or leave it like that???
Have an amazing day! See you soon!

DIY: Making The Flowers

Hi again! :) I'll show you tutorial about how I made my wedding bouquet.

All you need is: 2 different size bouquets ( I bought these from "Poundland" ) ; piece of mesh fabric ( I used a small tutu skirt from the children section at "Poundland" again; piece of white fabric; elastic; scissors; pliers and needle and tread.
Remove some of the leaves on the big bouquet - we're gonna use them later.
Cut with the pliers small part of the pink bouquet's end - I don't know why my camera showed it orange :) Then insert it inside the white bouquet.
Tie them together with the elastic.
Wrap the mesh fabric around the flowers. Then arrange  the big leaves, we removed earlier, on top of the mesh and stitch them together so they can hold on to it. With the white fabric wrap around the end of the flowers to cover the stitches and raw edges. And Voila! All that cost is £3! :)

I hope you liked it. Have an amazing day and I'll see you soon!

My DIY Wedding

I'm getting married! After being engaged for almost 2 years we've decided it's about time! :) Next week we're going to pick up a date at the register office. So I have to start working! I'm gonna make everything I can myself. Starting with the most complicated steps of all - deciding what dress I want.
Step 1: Picking up the dress design. So excited!

It's gonna be something like this. :) I've decided that I want mermaid style dress with lots of lace.
Step 2: Almost done with the flowers... What do you think?

Step 3: Picking up the shoes...

Step 4:  Actually start making the dress. :)
This is the petticoat I've just made!

So what do you think?!

Distressed Jeans

I've seen so many magazines with picture of distressed jeans with studs, that I was tempted to make my own. :) But of course with something different and unique...

All I did was to cut the jeans short and then "torture" them with sand paper. :)

Instead of studs I thought of using some gems I salvaged years ago from a top.

I'm ready for the summer! :)
Hope you liked it!
See you soon!
