Glittery :)

I found that amazing skirt in some online magazine and felt in love with it straight away. :)
Donna Karan Sequinned Draped Skirt

All you need for it is black jersey or Lycra and black lace with sequins.
I found the fabric at the local market for £4 all together.

Cut 2 pieces of the jersey (a bit longer than you want the skirt to be) and sew them together.
Gather the fabric on both sides.
Cut 2 pieces of the lace (2cm wider than the jersey skirt).
The length of the lace pieces must be double the length of the jersey skirt.
Sew the lace together and gather the fabric on both sides again.
Put the jersey skirt inside the lace skirt and attach where the seams are along the sides.
And Voila!

I picked up black boob tube top and nice mesh scarf to complete the look.
I hope it was helpful!

Have a happy happy day today!

Feeling Lacy

Re-fashioning an old jacket.
All you need is a jacket and lace trim.
My trim is 5cm wide, but you can pick up any size you like.
Cut the sleeves and gather the lace trim around the edge.
Stitch two pieces of the trim at the back and tie them in a bow.

And Voila!
Your old jacket is feeling lacy and elegant. :))

See you tomorrow with more DIY! :)

More :)

I'm feeling a little bit more inspired today and this is what I made...

... a nice pair of crochet earrings with pieces of a broken bracelet...

... small bottle (from used air-freshener) with branches, leaves, broken necklace, paper butterflies and flowers..
These are only a few things you can make with broken jewelry. Don't hurry to throw everything out, it may still bring some smiles at your home and will keep you busy in a cold rainy day. :)

Have a wonderful day today and a weekend filled with love and happiness! :)

Next on my list...

Continuing with the theme from the previous post next on my list is Claudie Pierlot Bow Front Crepe Trousers. This is my inspiration - simple black trousers with front bow.

I think it looks better if the trousers are not fit, but a bit loose. I didn't really like that length so I made mine a bit shorter.
All you need is a pair of old black trousers. You can make the bow from the pieces you have left after cutting to the right length. I've decided to attach my bow with safety pin, but if you want you can sew it to the trousers.
And this is how it looks.  :)

High Fashion for £5 :)

We all know what high fashion means and that Roberto Capucci, Chanel, Lanvin, Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Pierre Cardin, Jean-Paul Gaultier etc. are just some of the names in the trend-setting fashion. And we all know what's the price we have to pay to wear something unique and exclusive. Well, I've decided to conquer that! This is my inspiration!
The perfect winter dress!
Lanvin Puff Sleeve Winter Dress

And this is how mine looks!

:)  And it costs me only £5!
If you love knitting you'll just need black yarn.
(I already had my top from the last winter and it cost £3 for the yarn)
You'll also need black shiny mesh fabric - I've got this at the local market, the price is £2 per meter.
Fold and gather the fabric.
I don't use sewing machines, simply because I don't know how :) so everything is hand stitched.
Attach the gathered part at the top of the shoulder and stitch the
both sides around the sleeve.
And your new Lanvin Puff Sleeve Dress is ready!

Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy :)

....So... I've been a bit lazy this weekend and I didn't even get close to the computer. :) I like having whole two days away from internet, games and phones and use the time to relax with nice movies, a long walk with the hubby, visiting friends for a cup of coffee... The weekend is gone and I'm back to realize how much I have to catch up with :))) so many interesting blogs to read, so many online magazines to check out and to post some new inspirational DIY.  So...
Today it's gonna be something really easy and very pink. :)
I have nice mesh pink fabric width 100cm, length 150cm.

Cut 2 holes with width 8cm and length 20cm (this is for my size UK 10 and for a stretchy fabric)
Stitch around every hole.
I hope you liked it!

A little bit more festive...

When the Coca-Cola festive adverts start again, you know Christmas it's just around the corner. :) So it's time to put up the Christmas decoration, start thinking about the presents and of course the perfect festive outfit. This year it's gonna be my new re-fashioned sweater/skirt! :)) Lets start with the tutorial:
This is the sweater my lovely mom made for me ages ago. :)

Stitch the sleeves all the way to the top...
...then cut them in half ...
... fold the sleeves and stitch them together at the front...
... and stitch it over the folded sleeves...
and Voila! :)

And that's what I use the sleeves for - short and elegant leg warmers. :)

I hope it was helpful, that's the first tutorial I ever made so if  there's something unclear or you have any question I'll be happy to answer! :)

Nostalgia in Beige...

I finally decided to take care of all the bags with clothes, hidden in my storage room. Old clothes that I doubt I'll ever wear, not because I don't love them anymore (yes, I do love all my clothes :)), but simply because they lost their magic. Some damaged, but left to be repaired some day, some completely changed after all the washing through the years or others (I'm ashamed to admit) don't fit me anymore. And because I love them, I can't just throw them out, I decided to give them for charity, but first needed to sort out what is still wearable. While I was going through the bags I saw my old beige sweater - the most comfortable thing I ever had. I got inspired of all the blogs I read about re-fashioning old clothes and decided to give it try.

And this is the result! Nice beige top and leg warmers.
I hope you liked it, I'll definitely enjoy my favourite sweater a little big longer then I thought.
Thanks for the reading! Have an amazing day! :)

Hello Hello Hello

So.. I'm new to all blogging stuff, so I hope I'll get it right! :)
This is gonna be a blog for everything that inspires me, stuff I made from scratch or just re-fashioning some old items. And I hope you'll like it! :))
And because is getting pretty cold outside, my fist post will be about some cosy scarfs I made couple of weeks ago.

Something elegant from shiny mesh fabric.
It's a perfect match to the feather headband I bought from "Poundland" :)
The necklace is actually part of a trim I used for a belly dance outfit. :)

Pink mesh with some ruffles makes an awesome light scarf.

Black mesh fabric and nude colour lace trim.

Re-fashioning old t-shirt with some ribbon flowers and bows.
Of course it's pink again. :)

A closer look...

Pink lace fabric in combination with white lace trims.

And yeah... I really like pink! :))))
